We currently have a position open for Relief Counselor. This position is responsible for providing back-up services to full-time treatment staff on an as-needed basis. This includes supportive counseling, facilitate groups/recreational activities, documentation, answer phones, attend staff meetings and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications are as follows:

*High School diploma or GED and two years experience and/or training working with clients who are addicted to alcohol and or other drugs or equivalent combination of education and experience.

*Knowledge of 12-Step programs and or philosophy.

*Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients and their family members.

*Ability to legibly write appropriate chart documentation.

*Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

*Must posess a CA Class II drivers licnese (or ability to obtain one within one month of employment) and be able to drive a 15-passenger van.

*Have a clear driving record and have own vehicle and vehicle insurance (including liability insurance).

*Have CPR and First Aid Certifications.
