About Mid Valley Recovery Services

Mid Valley Recovery Services is a non-profit agency dedicated to assisting individuals and families to understand and overcome alcohol and other drug problems. Founded in 1969, the agency provides comprehensive services for alcohol and other drug dependent individuals and their families. We view alcoholism and other drug addictions as treatable diseases that affect the individual, the family, and the community.

Our Commitment to Quality

Mid Valley is committed to continuous development and improvement of services.

  • To provide prevention strategies aimed at reducing and preventing alcohol and other drug related problems in the communities we serve.
  • To provide addiction treatment and recovery services based on consideration of each participant's unique needs and characteristics, including gender, ethnicity, and culture.
  • To competently address the needs of specific populations.
  • To link participants to the community based services they need in addition to services provided by our programs.
  • To provide evidence-based services drawing on known utilizing “best practices.”
  • To continuously evaluate service effectiveness and to use evaluation results to enhance treatment and recovery approaches.

We believe that the interaction between the individual, the family, and society is fundamental to personal recovery. We believe that to be effective we must engage the entire community in addressing local conditions, identifying community risk factors, developing protective factors, and implementing public policies to strengthen community conditions against alcohol and other drug problems.

Program staff and participants work together in a purposeful, cooperative relationship. Peer support and acceptance are key ingredients. Each program provides support, encouragement, and the opportunity for individuals to choose recovery.
